Default Games you are looking forward to: 2017 edition

So, its that time of year again, where almost all of the games you wanted this year have already come out, and you are awaiting titles next year.

Here is my list:

1. Sniper Elite 4 (as long as it has coop campaign mode). 2 was excellent FPS fun, 3 was excellent coop fun.

2. Quake Champions (IF its a remake of quake 3, if not then noOpe). Will be watching and waiting to see how this one comes out.

3. Dead Rising 4 (It says its xbone , and windows store win10 exclusive for 3 months. IF it doesnt come out on win8.1, then also a pass).

4. Lawbreakers (hoping it comes out for free, but dont want microtransactions either. Sigh. Liking the game for the 2 brief alpha's I played of it).

5. Red Dead Redemption 2 (IF it ever comes out on PC that is).

6. Outlast 2 (I am almost finished with 1, but other bigger games got in the way).

7. Hellraid (IF it ever comes out, which seems unlikely).

So, basically, I may be replaying all of my old favorite games (almost all of these games are IF games), and catching up on my backlog.

HL3
Sam4
CSGO: Source2 Engine Edition
OpenMW reaching version 1.0 i.e. finally getting "released"
Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Overall, have no idea what gets released 2017, save for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which is now supposed to get a 2017 release and hopefully OpenMW should be able to reach 1.0 in 2017, too.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 / 3. Oh yeah and CRASH FUCKING BANDICOOOOOOOT. That being said, will be extremely hard to beat 2016 for me. Maybe.

I never buy games at release anyway, I'm a cheap bastard. The only game I can think of is The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. Also EITR, I've had my eye on that one for a while.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 / 3
Horizon: Zero Dawn still...

Actually 2017 seems to look mostly good on the PS4 side. Dunno what else on PC just yet. Likely there will be some indies popping up.

I almost forgot about Bogus Detour! Well... I play mostly on XB1 these days, so a few of my titles are XB1/Win10 exclusives.
  • Mass Effect: Andromeda (need to play ME3 first)
  • RDR2
  • Sea of Thieves
  • Yooka-Laylee (I loved Banjo Kazooie)
  • Cuphead
  • For Honor (not decided on this one yet)

I am sure more games will get added to the list as the year goes on

I only want Talos 2. I don't care if it won't be released in 2017 (and I'm sure it won't be), each year will be 2017 for me until it's released

Since my original post, a new game arrived in my radar, Little Nightmares. A platform game that has an incredible clay-mation artstyle. I love a good platform game and I hope this one lives up to my expectations.

That's being optimistic I'd love it if it finally came out this year, but I'm just preparing myself for a potential 2018 release.

Seeing how Telltale's Batman is a bucket of disappointment I won't bother with Telltale games for a while, so TWD Season 3 is off the list as well. I heard it's pretty disappointing by itself anyway, so I doubt I'm missing much.

I don't know of any games that I might be looking forward to. EITR, Bogus Detour and God of War don't have a definite release date yet. I saw a gameplay trailer for the last Dark Souls 3 DLC (and probably the last piece of official Dark Souls content ever), The Ringed City, to be released in a month or so and it looks incredible. Not sure if that counts.

Edit: Oh, a few games came to mind. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Outlast 2.

I'm expecting 2017 announce and some screenshots + some gameplay. But yeah, expecting 2018 release too.

Other games which may proove good are Prey, Agony and Scorn.
