i have a question about scrapjacks...what exactly are they? i mean like the headless kamikaze, rocketeers and stuff i know they are the undead. gnaars are some creatures from another planet...but what about scrapjacks? are they creatures from another planet, some science expermiment? some thingy thats made up of corpses? and also how do u think a kleer looks like when it had flesh and was "alive"?

From what I can assume, they are scraps of different aliens or something kinda sown together to create one uniform enemy by Mental. Not sure what their officially backstory is though, guess we'll have to wait and see if Netrisca gives any history of them when the game's out.

Scrapjacks are a production of obese female gnaar and kleer shag.
Alive kleers? Where? I thought, I've eaten them all. My dog buried all of kleer bones in same place, my backyard. And then Mental came, pissed my backyard. Mental has magical urine. Yeah the kleer planet is my backyard!

Conveniently named "scrapjacks" they are low-grade models of Mental's forces, created from sewn-together parts salvaged from KIA units of various other models.

If memory serves, the description of the scrapjack has been posted online already (by the russian ss site?). It was at least posted fairly early, back when the scrapjack was first revealed.

Edit: Shrinker beat me to it. Well ok, i wrote my post up and forgot to post it for like 10 minutes.

Scrapjacks are what happens when Frankenstein's monster and a Mancubus like each other very much and....yeah, you complete the picture.

As for Kleers :

WTF? Fail. That doesn't even have the signature kleer claw, and the legs are way too big!
Have you even looked at the things? I get artistic interpretation, but that's like drawing Napolean as an earthworm.

Excuse the rush job , but a real Kleer would've looked much more like this:
http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt154/TheYnnub/kleer2.png

It's theoretically possible, given the coloration of the claws, Mental removed their hands postmortem and gave them the claws, but it's doubtful, given they'd need them to walk given their (often neglected) short legs.

After fighting the Scrapjacks, I find Kleers pretty sympathetic...

If you actually bothered to read my showcase thread, where it was originally posted. It's my interpretation of an anthropomorphic variant. A were-kleer if you may.

Actually, Brute, I foudn that drawing of yours to be quite nice and a good overview for the Kleer Skeleton. I don't really think Mental ever modified the Kleers too much. Maybe he granted them the ability to summon the chainballs, but the form and anatomy of the Kleer I think was the same as when they were alive. Well maybe bone structure, considering there is no more flesh.

Flying Kleers had hands.
The Kleer's form might depend on the species on certain parts of the planet.

I'm fairly certain we can disregard Serious Sam II as canon.

But, maybe we can't disregard the canonity of the very first description of kleers on the early official website, aka, they were kangaroo-like, very peaceful creatures, with magic powers to conjure those balls with chain, and yes, they had those clawed arms.

Well, they do have the form of a kangaroo... sort of. They have the legs, but not the feet. The face is sort of similar I think. I don't know. Let's have a look and debate.

Kleer:
http://images.wikia.com/seriously/images/5/5b/KleerHD.png

Kangaroo:
http://visual.merriam-webster.com/images/animal-kingdom/marsupial-mammals/kangaroo/morphology-kangaroo.jpg

Now, I think they are very different. The face structure, imo, still looks similar, but the arms are much shorter than a Kleer's. The legs are not the same at all really. I still do not think Mental modified them, but over all, some how, they still remind me of a Kangaroo.

Kangaroos have large legs, whereas Kleers have small ones.

Always made me wonder how they can propel themselves with such tiny legs. Especially on Serious mode where they try to hug you from 15 meters away.

That's why I drew my living interpretation based off of the original Kleer design.

Not to mention how they slide-all over rough terrain like it's a slip'n'slide.

Yeah, the Kleers haven't been the same since the classics it seems. Oh well, they are still fun to kill.
