Default Serious Sam HD: Next Encounter

YouTube Video: This is VIDEO!

Smells like fake, or something fan-make, but still kinda interesting. What guys do you think about it?

Maps could use more work though, but amassing effort Cool to see an actual game made with Serious Engine.

I hope they work on adding more detail and revamping the textures on the imported/new models. Otherwise, lookin' good! The Asian levels in particular are impressive.

Nope. Not a peep.

However, you could always volunteer to help the project along.

I think this mod will not be released. It is just another one big and ambitious project like the others, where devs can not plan the development stages and estimate their abilities and powers for the future, and then lose any interest to it.

Can happen. Happened to pretty much all of my projects since I started modding when I was like 7 years old. The bigger the project, the worse and easier to lose motivation. Right now, when it comes to SSHD Extended, I decided to put more milestones in its development, not just two, due to how big it became after a while.

For a large project like this, it was something that was bound to happen, especially because from the trailer, it looked like they were working on ALL of it at the same time. Seemed like if there were no milestones at all.

Unless when I use this nice blue color I totally didn't steal from Blizzard.

They should totally outsource the project to interested peeps here at Seriouszone.

They really should! I don't know how well crowd-sourcing a project would pan out though.

SQ: They Never learn.

Replace 'They' with 'He', SQ = Sam Quote.

It's pretty hard not to lose motivation with such a huge project,as Solais said, setting milestones is the way to go in order to complete it (hell, i do that even for Retro Encounter)

Personally speaking, I would very much rather let a project die than hand it over to you.
