Default Cannonball damage mechanics


Out of curiosity, does anyone have any insight into the damage and other mechanics of the cannonballs?

That is, for example:

- how does longer charging time or higher traveling speed affect the damage inflicted, lifetime before exploding (piercing), and bouncing off walls without exploding?
- can the cannonballs ever end up stationary (rotating in place), and if so, do enemies get damaged for running into such stationary cannonballs?
- is the piercing ability determined by max/current health of the hit enemy, or predefined by enemy type?

You can add your own trivia as well, if you have any. ;-)
