I hope this is a better version of The Crew. I also hope the KB driving is better than previous entries, since all you seem to do is spin out with the newer titles, which the 1st ones didnt spin out all the time.  |

I've never actually heard of any of my friends playing Need for Speed in the last maybe 10 years. And I'm part of the Trackmania community, a game about racing. I always wonder how many people really buy these NFS games that warrants new games every year..

Hehe.
Yep. I played the 1st 2? Maybe 3? Somewhere around 2004-2005 I want to say? Then, I got a newer one for free, and was all excited. The excitement ended once I started to play. It was just a drift-fest of a game, where everytime you try to turn, it just spins you out. I went searching for an answer on how to fix it, and it seems all the newer titles do this. Like I said though, I am HOPING that it will be a The Crew clone. Because I dont think The Crew 2 is going to be any good, sadly. Ubi have shat where they sleep as of late.  |

The Need For Speed games I put the most time in are definitely the Hot Pursuit games. The style and asymmetric gameplay are just a lot of fun to me and I hope they'll make another one in the future. That said, the Payback summary actually sounds interesting and I'm curious how this will play out.

I've played quite a few NFS games. This one looks pretty interesting. If it were coop I would be much more interested but that is highly unlikely.

I was big into the series and have re-played the old ones many times, but EA really fucked up the latter games, I think the last one I played was The Run

Well yesterday on EA's E3 conference they showed the game... and well. Cutscenes during races.

As solais said, after watching E3 video, cutscenes during racing and cutaways from driving....i lost all interest in this game. Already hated camera jumping to police cars in the middle of racing in last Hot Persuit.
Should just boot up Porche 200 and go play that instead.

I played the old NFS and some new (1-5, first Underground, Undercover, Carbon and Most Wanted) and I prefer to stick with the old ones, so... I'm not very optimistic about this.
