Default SS:XBOX mod released!

Yes, after lots and lots of promises from my side that it will be there soon, it's now finally done

New version features a completely new hud (meant to resemble the one from xbox game), combo and lives system like in real SS:XBOX, a few new enemies which will appear ingame occassionally, and a whole new multiplayer gamemode called Defend, in which you fight roundbased with other players against mentals minions, and have to archieve certain goals (though it gets back to surviving most of the time and kicking some asses ).
Other features include a Jetpack, a cool motionblur effect (©asko) for SeriousSpeed and some improved enemy ai (®DWK)
Oh and before I forgot, it's also possible to play FE in SE, also thanks to DWK for some conversion code and Louva for making the FE->SE installer.

Those are all from maps in the new gamemode (right now there's 5 of it done, some more in the works).

Oh and because most of you probably won't bother reading the README (even though the name subtly suggests doing exactly that ) I'll paste a part of it now.

Installation
------------

Run the Setup provided with this file, it will ask you if you want to install
support for FE maps. If you do, put your FE cd in. Note that some of the maps
from the new MP mode require FE support to be installed. This will take a few
hundred megabytes. Make sure that you have SS:SE v. 1.07!


Other noteworthy stuff
----------------------

Defend Mode: This is a new multiplayer mode in which you fight along with
other players in round based maps with objectives (though they
mostly mean either staying alive or killing a certain enemy).
After each round, enemy strength will adjust to players skill
(based on win/lose ratio). In some maps, there is a player called
kingpin. You can recognise him because he has a golden glow. If he
dies, players lose so make sure he survives.

New enemies: There are a few new enemies ingame, both in sp/coop (where they
appear randomly) and defend mode.

Jetpack: There's a Jetpack in this mod. Control it with movement keys and
jump key. If you want to use it in SP, you can get it with the new
"Please Jetpack" cheat.

Scoreboard: Press Scoreboard key (tab by default) to view the scoreboard,
in which you'll see infos about the current game (only in Coop/Defend).

New MP options: You can set a few new settings in game options when you host a
game, they're related to the lives system, and allow you to
adjust difficulty a bit.

New effects: Thanks to asko there's now a very cool motion blur effect when
you collect Serious Speed powerup. If you don't like it, turn
it off in Advanced Rendering options.

FE support: If you installed FE support and start a new game,
it will start in Hatshepsut.
Still alive?
One other thing to note is that most of the new Defend game type maps require FE support to be installed, or they simply won't work because some FE stuff is used in them, so make sure to install it if you want to play those maps.

@discy: If you only just started making a map for it like I've done (Well actually my map has been stalled but whatever) keep making it and release it as a standalone map

Actually, it's more complicated like that. I volunteered as a mapper for the xbox mod, but when I wanted to see the maps the others made, it was all laggy like hell. Around 4 fps at highest. So since it would lag with everything, I couldn't test my own stuff, so I had to quit. Let's hope it works better now.

What about a marsh hopper? Man, that seems to be even funnier to map then to play. I think I'd make some prephabs for all the baddies from gnaar (already done ) to Ughzan...

Ughzy is a kind of trouble-maker, since his walk animation isn't in sync with his walk sound...

If all enemies walk/run at the same speed then there's the problem

Think controllable enemy features in maps, vehicles, turrets, difficult traps (example, get through without jumping, because if you jump, you'll die). The possibilities are endless.

Uhhh no.

Ugh Zan has 2 walking sounds: one for left and one for right, but it gets way to complicated if you have to specify that one sound triggers one sound on walking, and you will have to be perfect with the timing.

I also made a controllable bull charging other enemies by parenting that "push-away" thingy to it.
