Default Is this just me or is jumping less useful in this game than in Serious Sam 1?

In Serious Sam 1, I could dodge minor biomechanoids' lasers by jumping over them but I can't seem to do that in Serious Sam 3. This also goes with some of the other enemy projectiles. What's going on?

Jumping does have less utility in combat for this game, I will agree. It never bugged me, personally.

Yeah, same here. If Croteam makes jumping more useful in the next Sam game that's fine, but if not that's fine as well. But if they do want to do more with jumping they better fix those glide-y physics.

Though that needs a whole different take on level and battle design. Right now, SS is very flat in both of those. And I guess it needs an AI that can also do the climbing.

I think in SS1 you can climb over a dead biomech, because there is something like collisionbox until the death animation, which is active, but when activates the process of disappearing of the dead enemy, it's colision box also disappears.

In HD/SS3 you can walk through the dead bodies of your enemies.
