NEVER be jealous.

Just go and post 20 Oblivion screenshots in your showcase. And if someone doesn't like what you post, ask him not to read your posts next time.

No I don't...

And no, I don't like F1NLAND-Warrior posting shots of Oblivion as well, but you were doing it all the time, and just once in a while is not much of a problem.

Here's some screenshots from my nwn module. Does anyone think I post too large screenshots? I resized these to 800x600 just to prevent this page from growing too large

Mayor's building has been raided by some assasins...(that's a guard captain standing over there)
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/294/thebanishmentscreenshot8my1.jpg

Council of Mages...well, this looks more like a haunted castle of some kind;
http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/5733/thebanishmentscreenshot9et2.jpg
http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/396/thebanishmentscreenshot10za8.jpg

One of the main bad characters in the storyline...
http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/6809/thebanishmentscreenshot11sv3.jpg

This place does have a similiar lightning as shown in the previous screenshot, but it's a completely different area with four floors. It's the sanctuary of the Deserters Guild, where you get most of your main-quest related missions (there's also two side-quests here, but they're hidden). It also serves as some sort of a shopping centre.
http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/5904/thebanishmentscreenshot12fa2.jpg

Some classic sewer dungeons here;
http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/8691/thebanishmentscreenshot13ck2.jpg

And, last but not least, a canyon;
http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/4676/thebanishmentscreenshot14pu8.jpg

You probadly have no idea what this module is even about. The story goes like this;
You're an adventurer who has just returned from his/her latest trip. Unfortunately, as you get home, you notice that your father has been murdered. Soon enough you'll get blamed for the murder. Later you'll get banished to the desert for the murders you had never done. A deep, growing hate inside you builds up, and eventually you want nothing else than revenge over that damned Council of Mages who had cast a spell on the Count and manipulated the court. As you wander through the desert, you'll ran across a group of people who have been banished there years ago. They'll introduce you to the Deserters Guild, and then you set off to find out more of the Council's plans with their help...as soon as you prove yourself a worthy member of their community first. More and more people get banished to the desert, and there's a mad plan behind all this...

Basically the module is a desert adventure with lots of hack n' slash as well as roleplaying aspects. I've designed some classes and races to get special benefits depending on their skills. I.e druids may buy special ingredients from other druids that no other classes could get, bards can tell tales or show off their talents (*cough*) in exchange of something else, halflings trust each other more than other races as they're the minority of the guild, mages may use their spells in conversations for their own advantage, some people trust only specific characters, etc. Not anything special, but it gives you a different playing experience plus it balances out the weaker classes.

Here's a Megaupload download link for Mountain Madness (Deleted- see my edit) :

Thanks for the comments

EDIT- Nevermind, nevermind, looks like Megaupload links are censored here. I'll get a new dl link soon.

@ kleercut- No, my module is for an RPG game called "Neverwinter Nights".

EDIT (2) :
Quicksharing.com DL link for Mountain Madness:
http://s1.quicksharing.com/v/9769059...dness.zip.html

I've been thinking of submitting this map to Seriously!, so I guess I'll need multiple download locations in case people want to download it from somewhere else.

Yaay, I made my very first Gmod comic. I don't have Photoshop so please don't mind the crappy outlook.

It's called Snowman's Showdown. Warning: It may be a bit random at times. Images hosted by Imageshack and it may be a bit long, dunno how the size fits here. I made the comic in 1280x1024 resolution but the images have been resized to 1024x768. Slow modem users beware, it's 50 images long!!

X 999

EDIT : btw, Microsoft Paint is already powerful enough to make a great comic, instead of having to the showcase to be "bombard" with ~50 big images. Use MS Paint to reduce the size, and make a nicer comic next time.

You know ,I actually had diffculty loading the editing post page because of the pictures in this showcase .

EDIT 2 : Maybe I can help you to minimize them? Or you can make them smaller?

@ twl- If you want to, I guess I could upload the whole pack of images to some website for download (as a .zip file). Then you could resize them for me. And yes, I did this comic with Paint. Do you mean packing all the images together or just resizing?

@ Spoon & ChJees- Glad you both liked it. It's a bit odd, I know, but it's easier to make it funny when it's so weird. Also, some of the facial expressions are good for laughs too.

I think I might make a sequel to this someday. But it was surely a pain in the ass to upload all 50 images to Imageshack . Took me half an hour, plus sometimes I had to reload the page twice before the image was propely submitted.
Well, it was worth it

Edit- You may now DL the comic as a .zip (and resize the images if you want)

I resize and reposition it. You may do any order you like, it does not need to be this way . Example :

http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/8691/comicjk9.jpg
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/2924/comic2ff9.jpg
http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/2006/comic3mu5.jpg

All done using MS Paint (well, except for the resizing. ) And after the process, the comic is more smaller, with a total of 14 images .

EDIT : Added 7 more frames

EDIT 2 : Added 7 more frames... again

Nice work twl! I could never, ever do that using paint! But there are some problems with that...on some frames you can only see the actor's head (frame 5), in this case I'd prefer to see half of his body (and hands). On frame 8, the text appears pretty small.

Otherwise perfect work! Feel free to add a credits list to the last image (Made by F1NLAND-Warrior, Images resized + put together by twl)

Sure, next time I will take note on that.

Yeah, I only use the photoshop for resizing. And I don't use it often, so crappy stuff can come out of it.

Good time to bump this thread. My first map, Mountain Madness, is now on Seriously!

http://files.seriouszone.com/download.php?fileid=1176

Don't forget to vote if you've got some spare time. The first vote I got was 10. I thought it'd be much worse.

And, even better news; I've nearly finished working on the "The Banishment" Neverwinter Nights module. All that is left is to do a final run through the game myself, and check that all goes well

Plus, I have an idea for my next SS2 map. It's a completely sick, twisted idea. I don't know should I complete the Mwidgo Mappack or start working on a new map.

Basically, the idea I had was this; Netricsa malfunctions and Sam gets stuck inside his own mind. It's a really wacky map with lots of weird things. Sam needs to get out of his own mind and figure out how to fix Nettie. Along the way everything is maximised- you are in the same size as an ant, like in the Land of the Giants level. The map starts in a gigantic bathroom and later expands to weirder things, as Sam gets smaller and smaller. Of course his mind is populated with enemies and bad memories as well

I got that "walking inside people's minds" idea from a game called Psychonauts, and I thought it'd be interesting to see how it would fit in SS2....the game is very colorful already so it shouldn't be a problem to create strange environments.

OK, so can you tell me how do you trigger the final boss. The final boss didn't appear for me .

Well, but I don't think it will fit well though... because the environment may start to get too big later.

Psychonauts is a nice game.

The final boss is just the big red tank, maybe I should call it a miniboss instead.

The only complaints i have of your map is that it lacks ammo for the Doublebarreled Shotgun and the Enemy Waves are AWFULLY executed.

Please take this constructive. The concept is good but i feel this map needs more polishing.

No prob. Weird that you didn't find ammo for the shotguns though. Did you check the armory at the left side of the map in the beginning? It's the place where you find the autoshotgun. Lots of ammo packs should have ammo for the shotguns too.

You'll win for sure.

And here's some...bah, let's say a LOT of screenshots from my Banishment module, this time taken in-game. I'm playing with an elven druid character. You'll get accompanied by Deekin along the way, the same kobold you saw in the expansion OCs (Original Campaigns). Damn, I should've unsummoned that stupid wolf when taking pics.

http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/7856/thebanishmentingamescreenshot3qb2.jpg
If you're wondering why my character looks like a pile of crap on this screenshot, it's because of the Barskin spell that turns him "as hard as rock". Some of the textures look really bad anyway, as the game is over 4 years old.

Okay, I finally started fixing the bugs of my Path Through the Woods map (damn long name ).

So, let's just say that the UVMap fix you suggested a few pages ago....did not work.
http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/7048/uvmapproblemfd0.jpg

It looks like my whole terrain is used as a texture now to cover the whole map. Freaky. I selected Y axis and "Don't fit", but it doesn't work like I imagined.

Oh well, at least I can fix the other bugs. I've been thinking of adding some sort of Insamnity 2 support for this map as it has so many enemies. With the current enemy count being 700 enemies, imagine that with a 5x-10x spawn multiplier! Complete freak show

Try using the planar option for the UVmap and then select "fit both"
Even if it doesn't fit, you can then just scale and position it manually

I reinstalled SS2, because I was afraid, if I save my map with InSamnyty installed, next time it could say "Version mismatch" when you open the level on another computer (without InSamnyty)

No worries, I never save my levels if something goes wrong.

Actually I just gave up and went to play Insamnity 2 with Deepblue and Morkze.
But, expect me to release the final version of the map on Seriously! once it's done.
