Ah, so they even mention that in the movie? Then that's extra cool.

It's Jurassic Park... what do you expect? This actually feels like a real reboot of the franchise. They totally went away from the dark depressing, gratuitous slasher crap that was JP2 & 3 and actually spoke to the human condition in a relevant way. They did a great job.

Jurassic World - Score: Two Picards

The thing about this, is that I was basically spoiled of everything in the movie, yet I still enjoyed it. Yes, the human element is cliché and bad, but it's Jurassic Park. It was bad in 2 and 3 as well, but it didn't bother me like some others. And yes, I mean that I actually like JP2 and 3 as well. Why? I dunno. It's just, when there are mutant dinos everywhere, the disbelief is completely suspended and thrown out the window.

And yes, it was actually mentioned and acknowledged in the movie, that even from the beginning, they were using other animal DNA to create the dinos, and "they probably don't even look like how they should" (or a line similar to that). I found that a cool touch to shut up all those people who complain about the dinos not being scientifically accurate. (Me included.)

What I don't get, are people complaining about the heavy usage of CG.... actually, I always had a problem with people mentioning that. Yes, there's a lot of really bad and cheap CG out there, but a lot of people also say that about pretty great CG as well! Like when I read everywhere how Indiana Jones 4 is full of CG instead of practical effects... I dunno about you, but the effects in Indy 4 looked just as real to me if they were actually real.

This is something I call as the "timeless CG". If I look at the first JP movie, it was made a long time ago, but the dinos, even when CG, just look very real to me. And JW got the same kind of CG. They just seem real to me.

So yeah. I'd say that I enjoyed this movie just the same as the other JP movies.

Also, that gyroscope vehicle gave me an interesting design idea, hehe.

Fast Seven. Less vroom, more boom. I liked it, though. It's not often you see Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson tearing shit apart, so it's hella fun when it happens. The series has been much better since Fast & Furious (part 4, when they decided Vin Diesel was actually important to the franchise and they shouldn't bother too much with dramatics).

I read an opinion piece once that Fast and Furious should just go all the way like Saints Row and have the final movie with super powers and completely over the top action.

How do you think people will take you seriously if you say something like this in public ? That is one of THE worst examples of CGI usage in movie history. The movie would be crap even without it, but CGI enabled them to take it to the whole new level.

I like Indy 4 better than Temple of Doom. That one was just silly.

Unpopular, but yes, Crystal Skull is much better than Temple of Doom in my opinion.

Rewatched Ultraviolet. Pretty fun even despite the terrible green screen meshing.

You got Indiana surviving a nuclear explosion in a refrigerator that was blown away by a mile. You got a guy swinging on lianas with monkeys in a jungle out-speeding jeeps.

There are some silly stuff in every action adventure movie, but c'mon. How can't anything be more silly ?

The World's End - Went from 100-200 real quick. Super cheesy, hilarious acting, good fight sequences.

It's weird how little movies I watch nowadays. I recently got a Netflix account and we've been watching a lot of TV shows. Right now we've just started watching season 2 of The Mentalist.

Yeah... I was pleasantly surprised. (not really spoilers) Michael Peña's flashback stories were probably my favorite part of the movie, rofl.

Also another great line
Baskin Robbins always finds out... added hilarity due to my wife actually working there back in her college days.

Just the entire raid from the sink scene was amazing, yet funny. This epic music playing and all this action and it's just a bunch of ants coming out of a sink.

Are Baskin Robbins some kind of spy? I assume so. I swear I remember seeing a trailer like that I forgot where..
