Pretty awesome idea! I haven't played Sanctum or whatever it's called, but I love tower defense maps in Warcraft 3, where I believe they originated in the first place. Here's a few advises from my warcraft 3 point of view: first, is it possible to have mazing in SS3? One of the things I love in td maps is that you can create a maze with your towers and the mobs will have to go around it. Also you don't seem to be able to place many towers, by the end of the video you only had about 5 towers, it will be more interesting if you can build much more, by, say, having them be cheaper, and also maybe less powerful, or have a lot more monsters. Also maybe have upgrades for the towers? And support towers, that for example don't do anything by themself but buff the damage of the towers around them?

Sanctum in general actually got more mazing than W3, as you are able to build walls, which are also the foundation of the towers. Mazing in Sanctum in fact is probably the most important part of its gameplay. Interesting idea, as said before, because I originally had similar, but haven't got the time. I do wonder if the ability to maze and create more foundations will be possible to do, as that was one thing I've been wondering about.

Also, one more thing: I wonder, are you using the unused Tower Defense entities in SS3?

I can't say that's wrong as I haven't played it, but on the warcraft 3 side, have you tried the Wintermaul maps and the many maps based off them? For example Pokemaul Sapphire got me really, really hooked on WC3 at one point, and I'm not even a fan of Pokemon. I even started making my own version, though I got bored so I left it unfinished, might finish it some day. Right now I'm playing mostly Castle Fight and Civilization Wars in WC3 (not td maps)

I can spawn in more bases, yes, but SS3 shitty navigation system would make it unplayable by the enemies. (you gotta prebake it, if they was a way to bake it on the spot than maybe)

In Sanctum 2 you can't place many towers at all, and your capped at 15, you also only get $200 a wave and the towers in that game cost between 100-200. I'll just have more waves to make up for this, and expect more monsters

local upgrades can be done, and there's already a global upgrade for the rifle tower that lets it shoot rockets at ground based enemies at a greater distance. Yes support towers are planned, including a tower that increases you money income every wave.

Also on a more unrelated matter, is there a way to get the X/Y/Z elements of a vector respectively (I would ask Ryison but he hasn't been active recently)

Can you force the AI to follow a set of waypoints? If you fix the baseplate placements to a certain place, then it is simple to alter the waypoint route if a certain baseplate is added.

I aready setup the AI to use tactic way-points if they spawn close enough to the tactics.

Just can't dynamicly spawn base plates and update those. though, maybe.
I would require out of the box coding.

Serictum looks great man. I played Sanctum 2 as well. Excellent game to be using as a reference. Do keep in mind that you need to have a mazing element or this will lose its real appeal. Part of the maze should be permanent and part depends on your tower placement. I realize that will be quite challenging but don't be afraid to ask questions here. Someone might be able to help. Keep up the good work!
