There's a few things you can try. First make sure the editor is closed because it takes control of the gro files. After closing the editor make sure to kill all SeriousEditor.exe processes as well. Start AutoGRO and in Options point to your TSE dir, and make sure the list of gro files also matches the name of the files in your TSE dir.

Okay so the software is working now. I don't know how, but after adding TFE .gro files into TSE AutoGro didn't error. Maybe SeriousEditor.exe processes were closed.

Very nice. The only problem is that the Eye of Ra decal on the pyramid is fullbright because it's set to blend and there's no direct sunlight on it (it's an engine bug). You can place a small ambient light near it to fix it, and set the color to almost black so it's not visible but still fixes it.

The playing with primitives is just really sweet yet simple. What i'd suggest you is to add some background elements like buildings or else. Use some weak ambient lights to emphasize important zones like doors or on walls.

Anyone getting an "Eye of Ra" Vibe right now from this?
That map stands as one of the best maps ever made, and I'm getting a feeling that LazaruS here may have what it takes to recreate the quality that existed back then.

He's already off to a good start by packing a punch with a low filesize, I'm keeping an eye on this.

EDIT: Let me explain what I mean:
SS1 mapping is an ARTFORM at this point: it's dated and considered redundant to most compared to the most recent editors
Because of this, skilled SS1 mappers are far and few between, and it's very rare to ever see a talented SS1 mapper appear out of the blue!
You've got signs and skills of the SS1 mapping legends LazaruS, you should be proud. I'm happy to know this ain't dead!

I'm noy planning the whole level. I'm making some early rooms and then look how it should look like. Now the second map is a Tomb and I'm making it slowly, but I will take break for a while, because I have something important to do and I will not have time for mapping.

Alright, I played Calakmul.

I am honestly amazed, in such a short time you made a nice looking map with good gameplay.

I think a bit more ammo would have been nice but overall I give this a 10/10.

This is the first time I've stumbled on this thread. Truly amazing work considering how new you are to the Editor. I played with the editor for such a long time back in the day and never created something this good. I suppose I need to check out your released map at some point, and look forward to this new mappack. I love the Tomb of Ramses feel to these screenshots

It looks absolutely amazing, though with the dark haze and lack of natural light makes it look a bit too dark. Some torches will give a nice contrast.
