![]() ![]() That Look's ****ing cool man,The achievements and the Leaderboards are great add don't know why people complain about them, if some one don't like then simply not use them and about the kid's in versus they can be easly ignored,but I doubt they will prefer this mod rather then HD versus. Im joining the REVOLUTION! |

![]() Honestly Mkbewe, I'm going to assume that the TDM maps are going to be the DM maps with teams, sort of like Warped DM. Otherwise, it'll be interesting to see how this looks as it goes on. I'm predicting a price range of about $15-$40 for this with the amount of content. But I'm not any sort of dev, so I can't speak on this. Are we looking at a sort of advertisement like the HD games or SS3? I'm also interested in how the mods are going to be implemented if the mod manager option is gone...

![]() Now this is a super, weird but awesome thing to pop back to these forums again!
My questions as a concerned Serious Sam fan and consumer: 1. I've bought Serious Sam 1 three times in total now, both the originals on PC, the XBOX port and the HD remakes. I like the way the versions and ports of the games had slightly different gameplay mechanics such as combos, treasure. quick-saving or earning lives, the screen going fading to red and tiny little things such as having weapons from SE in FE. What's going to make me buy Serious Sam 1 a third time aside from the multiplayer features? (Although you bet your ass I will!) 2. This sounds like a spiritual successor to what the SS:XBOX mod achieved by putting both parts of the original games together with some of the changes such as textures, models, combo scoring and lives. Could SS:Revolution be considered to be that? 3. Is Revolution likely to retcon anything due to Sam already encountering most the enemies in SS3 and are we likely to see any of the new enemies from SS3 incorporated BACK into SS:R, in a matter of fact, are we going to be given sprint buttons and ironsights? 4. Crazy gravity in-engine. We HAVE to have those parts of the levels from SE back, I felt they were sorely missed in SS:HD due to engine limitations, is this part of the blueprint? 5. I'm guessing this will be running in Serious Engine 3? 6. I'm going to take a wild guess here and I'm thinking that this other campaign you're putting in SS:R is actually content from the (apparently abandoned) Serious Sam: Next Encounter HD mod. If not, please get onto that, because that would SERIOUSLY be a revolution! Hope I'm not too annoying, but these are my probing questions as a longtime lurking member of the Seriously forums and other than that, I look forward to having this on my Steam game list! ![]()

![]() Well Angelo's probably sleeping, but I can still answer a few questions from what I know about the project.
1. Revolution will be an SS1 modernized to run perfectly on modern machines, supporting widescreen by default, and higher resolutions. It also has a completely new campaign episode, with at least one new weapon (the XL4-P Beam Gun, nicknamed "Ghostbuster"), and maybe even new enemies. 2. Kinda. But there'll be no silly cutscenes like in that version. 3. As far as I know, no changes to that whatsoever. Storyline changes is a thing of my SSHD Extended project though! ("Advertising like shameless whores!" - Jesse Cox, 2012) 4. Since Revolution works under Serious Engine 1, there is crazy gravity. 5. No, Serious Engine 1. This is not a remake like SSHD, but a modernization of the old SS1, so SSHD still holds value with its more powerful graphics, editor and easier moddability (even without SDK). Revolution is made with those fans in mind who for some unexplained reasons still like SS1 better than SSHD. Revolution will also enable to convert SS1 Classic maps to SSHD. 6. No, Next Encounter HD is a project unrelated to this and is made under Serious Engine 3 for SSHD. The new campaign will be a completely new one. (Btw, Next Encounter HD is NOT abandoned, just its creators have lives as well, and will return to the project as soon as they dealt with their exams and whatnot.)

And allow us to turn off red screen while getting hurt. Optional Serious Sam FE model is a must too!
