Default New Map review Site: Please Vote

Some of you may have noticed a thead in the showcase forum where me and a few others are setting up a review site for serious sam maps and possibly others. This will be hosted by seriously before too long hopefully.

Anyway before we go live we need help from the community in deciding between two site designs we have made. Please take a look at BOTH designs and vote for one or the other. The site with the most votes on Sunday 15th September at 1500 (UK time) will be used for the site.

They should be judges solely on their appearance and style and not on their content or grammer etc.

SITE ONE: Sample Review Index page

SITE TWO: Sample Review Main page

Please feel free to look through the site as it is (most links work in Site One) and any relevant feedback is welcome in this thread.

Thanx very much for you opinion

Review Team

They both look great but I definitely prefer the Kleer Graveyard... Both in name and the page.

Kleer Graveyard is looking nice. A little better integration of the banner and a few tweaks here and there and it'll kick serious ass

For example, with the banner, try right aligning it with the red table, so it doesn't cover the graveyard image but does cover the red.

overall Kleer Graveyard though there are a couple things i like better about the other one.

Its a little hard on the eyes for me reading the white text on teh gray backround in Palenque.
I like the Palenque navigation bar styling better. The Kleer main page seems a little...dang cant think
of the right words...rough...not quite it. It just seems a little 'sharp' with all that plain text and metal colored boxes.

Personally, I like the Palenque one better. It exudes more cool style with the funky font and good colors. Loved the map review meters. Kleer Graveyard is very.... monochrome. And, the navigation bars are harder to get a quick look at.

To improve the Palenque style, I'd suggest making a better border for the nav bar (maybe some nice palenque stone using the game textures?) that also surrounds the title graphic, making it integrated better.

A suggestion for both of them: Put the review meters at the top of the review. It gives a good first look at the reviewer's impression of the map without having to read the full review, or scroll down the whole page just to see the score.

If you really want to be nice, make a link at the bottom and top to a page of screenshot thumbnails for the map in question.

Hmmm... i ultimately decided to vote for the graveyard, though i like the look of the heights theme better, the faster loading times of the graveyard won me over!

Palenque Heights... I think you should also stop using stretched images, it makes the site look kind of silly

Kleer Graveyard, only if you clean it up a bit (Apocolips: part 2? ) Also, the boxes at the top didn't line up...

if u are interested in reviewing maps please Pm or email dark zorro as I have decided to go back to university to take a masters course, and as such i dont feel i am able to commit enough time.

btw i dont as yet know if this means i will be leaving the serious community, and it would not be forever anyways but i will be around far, far less frequently .
