It is important to understand that the technical beta release does not have the stability of released Microsoft software.

There are a few tie-ins to GTAII like Avery Carringtons protege Donald Love (You do some jobs for him in Liberty City), not to mention Laslow as the DJ for V-Rock.

BTW, about the Voices for Vice City, lets do a roll call:-

Tommy Vercetti: Ray Liotta (done a heap of Mafia-style movies)
Avery Carrington: Burt Reynolds (Smokey and the bandit, amongst other things)
Steve Scott: Dennis Hopper
Phil Cassidy: Gary Busey
Candy Suxxx: Jenna Jameson (yup, the porn star herself).

Some big names in the list.

Phew! I was begining to think I was on my own...

But, I'm angry

Last night I'd spent about 30 minutes doing the pizza delivery when I bumped into a cop car. No big deal, "F" back onto the bike. NO! He went and tried to jack teh cop car instead - BUSTED!. Lost all mi pizza-points.

By the way, how long do the deliveries go on for?

Isn't Sarah Michelle Geller one of the talk radio voices? I think she is the host on that one womens station.

And wasn't Laslow on the Headbangers Ball as the new music guy?

Nobody else has problems with the pc controls? The mouse sensitivity really sucks. It's way too high and the vertical sensitivity doesn't change, only horizontal. So I'm stuck with a super sensitive vertical scrolling and decent horizontal scrolling. Maybe I should use the gamepad.

Controls are fine for me.

Two niggles for me would be, though:-

I still get the disappearing textures which were seen by many in GTA3. Several times I've found myself slamming head-long into an invisible wall only to have the texture appear 1 sec later! I found having the Frame Limiter ON gave better performance in this respect.

Second, and a wish for the next game, try to improve the shooting part!
When your're on foot and try to play it like an FPS, it just sucks!
Can't run with (many)weapons and the constant raising / lowering of yr weapon is so slow.
"Kill 30 gang members in 2min", it takes 30s just to lift & lower the bloody weapon!

Dam. It sounded so much like her too

And no, I never had problems with the controls. I have also only noticed one or two invisible textures, but they were both in areas where I don't normally go, and they were a little out of the way and had stuff on the other side of them that I wouldn't try to drive through anyway (they were invisible fences, but only from one side).
