Does this mean Rail Grenades have a chance to be in?

I don't even get what that is, a grenade that is shot as fast as a Railgun? Isn't this just a super good rocket launcher or like the devastator gun?

PikaCommando is a fool and is obsessed with grenades which shoot Railgun shots, which is quite frankly ridiculous.

Regardless, this looks amazing. My critique would be to maybe show outlines of the characters when they are behind buildings.

Hehe ok, well, 'nades are fun =)

Yes, outlines will come at a later stage, it's all up to Myran, as he is a single coder writing the engine, editor and whatnot and I think it's best he focuses on "more advanced" systems =)

Outlines might come in kinda late, but it will be there eventually.

Ridiculous =/= bad

You don't see anyone complaining about rockets that shoots rocket launchers that explodes into knives.

Well, i decided that my usual Sam design would take a little "detour" for the occasion:

The rocket might have been alot larger and more yellow than orange. Not even sure it would fit on Sam's shoulder.

Is that your catchphrase now? Will Solais be the new Gnaar.

Anyway, it's great that Hipshot is introducing new enemies to the wonderful cast of Serious Sam. Here's to hope that they become popular enough to appear in main series games.

Exclamation Re: Serious Sams Bogus Detour

Isn't this just a ripoff of the also Croteam-sanctioned Serious Sam: The Greek Encounter?

YouTube Video: Serious Sam: The Greek Encounter - Gameplay

Also, WHY IS THE GREEK ENCOUNTER AND THE DARK ISLAND NOT ON STEAM YET?

The Greek Encounter? Dark Island? How about bright island as well? But Greek Encounter sounds interesting...

Not really a rip-off, as I don't think Hipshot and his gang even heard about it, it was that unknown. The Greek Encounter was just some free fangame only sold in a single pack, and as far as I heard, it was pretty bad. Also, from what we've seen of Bogus Detour, it is already better looking, and is using a more isometric-like camera.

Also, the Dark Island is on Steam, in the Workshop of Serious Sam Revolution, where it belongs. It have been found out, that Dark Island was part of a "bundle" of fan-made maps to be released with SS1 Gold, but all maps were removed from it, with the exception of Dark Island, mostly due to error. Also, Dark Island is pretty bad in quality, even compared to such awesome fan-made map-packs as Osmosis and Portals, and doesn't even fit, because it's a sequel to the first map of its original creator. (imo, Portals should have been included in SS1 Gold, it feels pretty much like a proper expansion)

Bright Island is still in the works for Revolution.

(By the way, I like how some people throw around the "Croteam-sanctioned" label like it was a thing. All fan creations are Croteam-sanctioned by default.)

Lightbulb Re: Serious Sams Bogus Detour

In that case, in honor of our fallen Greek brother, I move that this game be renamed to Serious Sam: The Swedish Encounter. (Otherwise abbreviated to "TSE".)

The game takes place in Sweden because it's being made by Swedes, right? I'm pretty sure that's how the Serious Sam series has worked up to this point.

Then all of the games would be Serious Sam: The Croatian Encounter.

There should be one called Serious Sam: The Earth Encounter or the World Encounter that includes many countries

We never head about that Greek Encounter, Myran (coder) just told me as I was sitting creating a maze wall texture in a Greek environment I started doing last week.

Looks "similar" of course.

YouTube Video: Hellenic Ground

There's also two different white-ish stone walls and as said, the hedge maze wall =)
