Default Let's guess SS4 levels

From what we know up till now, Serious Sam will have 3 "episodes" similar to TSE; Paris, Vatican City, and a currently unknown third location. Let's fire up our senses and see how many levels we guess here is in the game (and if they're in the right order)!

Here's my try:

1. Paris Street (because Croteam is very original)
2. Louvre Museum (because Croteam is very original)
3. Paris Catacombs (obligatory underground tomb level to make people lose interest and quit)
4. Eiffel Tower (giant tower-eating boss level)
5. St. Peter's Basilica (Pope organizes a counterattack)
6. Vatican Streets (this and the next level were originally one level that was too big)
7. Sistine Chapel (get some artifact)
8. St. Peter's Square (woops turns out it was a trap by Mental all along)
9. St. Peter's Basilica (cyber-zombie Pope on a tank boss level)
10. Russian Wasteland (big snowy mountainside/plains level)
11. Moscow Streets (everything goes to hell here, Mental got some real big weapon)
12. Kremlin (final boss level; Sam stops it but too late, leading to SS3)

I theorize that Moscow is the third location because the rest of the game is in Europe, although London, New York City, Berlin, or Space isn't out of the question either. What do you guys think?

More like Rome Catacombs (due to the ancient catacombs under St. Peter) and Paris sewers.

Because every Sam game must have a sewer level! The lack of sewer level in Sam3 - it feels bad

How do you know that? I mean, why are you so sure about three, they might make two or four and so far, IIRC, there was no official statement about that. Anyways, to add a few obvious things - Talos mentioned Caracasonne castle and Andre Citroen Park.
Also, as much as I like the idea, I doubt Russia will be in SS4. If there's gonna be any 3rd episode, I'd put my bets on some western-european country like Germany/Czech Republic or may be even Croatia.

iirc Solais told me that Paris and Vatican weren't the only episodes in the game on the old chatbox. He could've been bullshitting me, but I'd like to believe he was being truthful.

Zagreb sounds pretty likely too, since it was already in SSXbox (sort of)

You've got some great predictions there! I would also predict the Colosseum of Rome, where a boss would be fought, too. That would be great!

India/Thailand is also a good option, I think.

I think I mentioned this already but I imagine the final level being a mountain somewhere in Europe. You start off about a mile away from the base and slowly but surely make your way to the top. When you're done fighting off the initial wave of enemies the most massive wave of mental's minions spawn at the base in which you have to defend the peak. It is so epic it makes it makes The Grand Cathedral look like the swamp levels in SS2.

I have a feeling that the last level will have a remixed version of the Grand Cathedral playing in the background.

I'm okay with that. The Grand Cathedral theme is incredible.

I think new Sams should stop piggybacking on stuff that's already been made. A throwback remix sounds great, but it mean a potential new great song is snuffed out for it.

I feel sorry to say that but this sounds like SS4 will become a CoD/BF3,4/Mordern Warfare clone.

RL locations with SS enemies sounds otherwise interesting, but isn't Humanity in War in Present of SS universe?

sand, sand, followed by more sand.

terrible joke aside, there should be one of the stages based in Croatia, Greece and other places that have not been explored yet if SS4 is taking place on earth.

I bet there will be 12 levels at launch and 3 levels in year-later DLC...

I envisioned that would be playing during the final boss, just like the remixed Dunes track during the Ugh Zan IV fight.

However, I hope that the rest of the final level has an original score, one that can match or maybe even surpass Corridor of Death.

Fill our asses with your love and brilliance, Damjan.

imo Corridor of Death is the weakest final level track. It's really good as a final level track, but the others are just too good. My order from most awesome to least awesome is:

Mental Institution>Guardian of Time>Great Pyramid>Grand Cathedral

Honestly, that song you linked sounds like a pretty awful fit for a final level song, it sounds nothing like the 'epic' style of the Serious Sam final level songs. And let's not even mention the terrible production and compression.

Corridor of Death != Grand Cathedral since Serious Sam: Xbox. Corridor of Death is the pre-Cathedral yard level and has its own song more reminiscent of a war anthem:

YouTube Video: Corridor of Death

That said, I think The Great Pyramid has the weakest final level suite. It's basically the same song except at different tempos, it does a great job of amping up the player for what's to come but the song itself is inferior to the other final level songs. As a disclaimer, I think all the final level songs are fantastic.

The next weakest is The Grand Cathedral. It's pretty much the same point, it's the same two and a half minute song repeated for nearly an hour (less on the Xbox version), except it sounds grander (get it?) to me than The Great Pyramid.

The Guardian of Time suite is second. I love how dynamic it is with each song having an escalating feel and the song is changed depending on your progress, giving you an actual sense of accomplishment where the countless waves of enemies in the level do not. The only complaint I have is that the suite progresses way too fast, so you'll listen to the last song for probably half an hour.

My absolute favorite is Mental Institution. It starts so simple, but builds in layering and complexity and eventually builds to the chorus in a beautiful fashion before slowing back down. Then it slowly builds back up the same way until it reaches crescendo with the second chorus, adding a choir and high strings to emphasize the epicness. This is one of those songs that shows just how great a composer Damjan is.

Mental Institution is somehow "flat" and inapropriate. It's like just the peace half of a level melody. It's good, but is missing a lot to be epic final showdown.

Grand Cathedral starts epic, gives you chills and thrills, but this feel expires quickly.

Great Pyramid is iconic, with it's tempo increase.

Guardian of Time is the winner for me. Following the TFE formula, but with much complex and deep sound, unlike Mental Institution.
