YOU DAMN RIGHT!! Crates are sooo awsome!! I mean, you not only can hide behind them, but they also hide such items as health packs, rebreathers, nv goggles, and shield regenerators. Of course, no one knows who fills these crates up, so there must be a lord of the crates out there somewhere. They're also made of some sort of super wood, because theres absolutly no way to penetrate them with a normal bullet! You need a nuclear explosion or a crobar to get into one of these bad boys. Everyone loves crates. They're Awsome!

crates arent bad in a warehouse environment, as long as there arent too many. But when theyre are everywhere ala HL then it gets annoying and pointless.

Heh heh, first thing that crossed my mind too when I seen the crates.
Not so bad though like Lactose said if they are confined to a warehouse. Guess us FPS gamers all have gotten pretty used to seeing crate levels over the years.
The game looks darn good though. I am assuming it is a FPS type game, but I don't see any knife or other weapon at the bottom as if you are carrying anything as you would from a first person view.

I believe all of those shots were taken from a spectator mode view.

Look on their site for some first-person-shots... they are there

Oh god yes.

Someone in here may know... one of the political bigwigs... what is the pink colored book that has the Pig on it that details alot of the wasted tax dollars? They showed it on The Daily Show and I am aching to own a copy.

I detect sarcasm, but not sure which side the shell was fired at.

I was just making a comment on how it's about time all the honest, hard working, tax paying, pc gaming enthusiast's get something back from Uncle Sam. Read somewhere recently( some G.A.O report i think) that over the next 5 years the gov will waste, lose, squander, over 1 trillion dollars, money that doesen't do anything for anyone. You wouldn't believe all the money the gov can't account for.

Yeah, but a large percentage of gamers don't pay taxes. They're kids and people who have a lot of free time (read -> no job). Still, I think this is a good thing. I'd rather see my tax money spent on this than go straight into the pocket of another welfare mom.

/me sharpens his M-31 bayonet and checks the fuses for his grenades.....

Time to kick a$$ and take names.

Let's not forget the slow-as-all-hell and heavy-as-all-hell Crusader artillery cannon that is completely and totally worthless.

Ok, so it can land an artillery shell exactly on the spot within 35 miles. Woohoo. Considering it takes 3 ****ing Ospreys to carry it and has a top speed of 30 MPH...

But will it die? Who knows. Senators and Governmors are taking economically vested interests in it's production. Not for the war value, but for their citizens maintaining jobs at factories that manufacture parts for the Crusader.

I have a better idea. Nix the project, spend a month deciding what military project they have that we would need, then send them back to the factories to work on something useful.

Hell, even just find them new jobs... the bottom line, the Crusader is an example of that waste.

I burn those anyhow.

No, I do.

They make damn good kindling. Not as good as newspaper, but it's much more enjoyable to burn, "step into the blue" in an inferno of red.

Don't worry, I have a plan. I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around the city, keeping it's speed over 50, and if it's speed dropped, it would explode! I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down".
