Default Kleers in Serious Sam Fusion.

Kleers on their own are pretty annoying, but the improved AI combined with the bouncy movement makes them a nightmare to fight. When they run around opticals they move really unnatural and are really hard to predict. Maybe I am overreacting but I really think this is a fun killer. I would love to hear your guys opinion on this.

I've always found that the Kleers were incredibly irritating in the HD remakes due to the physics and collision sending them flying all over the place, making certain leaping attacks impossible to predict and evade accordingly. They really should be more "grounded" as they were in SamClassic and Sam3, because it should always be at the fault of the player for getting hit by an attack, not due to something wonky occurring in the game's engine.

Yeah, but in HD remakes their movement before the leap was at least predictable so I didn't have that much of a problem with it. But now that the Kleers actually run past objects with very sharp turns there physics get even more unpredictable to the point where I have seen a Kleer fly backward after leaping. Croteam plz fix.

In Serious Sam 3, they were annoying as well but it was mostly due to them getting stuck in pieces of scenery, combined with collision detection in that game.

In HD, they tend to get stuck behind corners and especially behind door frames.

Also, in HD electrofishes have also gotten almost impossible to avoid.

The kleers in fusion suffer from the same problem the HD gnaars do: They push each other and that makes getting away from them harder.

This, stacked with fusion's improved AI navmeshing is really something annoying.

No kidding, I've had a lot more trouble in TFE Serious mode than I normally would because you get swarmed so fast it's not even fair anymore. I quit at the Dunes laser fight.

Do they really push each other, though? Because as far as I know, in Fusion, enemies have soft collision now. They tend to merge each other at times instead.

I don't know about pushing, but Kleers (and I suppose enemies in general) are definitely bouncier. In fights like the Dunes laser fight I mentioned, good luck trying to take out a bunch of them with a rocket launcher. They'll mostly scatter thanks to the updated physics and you'll be even more swarmed. In TFE Classic the RL was my go-to weapon, in TFE HD it felt a bit different but still very usable but in Fusion I'm not touching the RL against Kleers at all because I'll just get overwhelmed.
