Default SS3 Mod Idea: Zorgs

So, i had this idea in my head recently and i was thinking that we could recreate the Zorgs in SS3. How?


- Import the Zorg models and weapons from SSHD
- Make the Zorgs and Zorg weapons use animations from the Clone Soldiers
- Edit the Clone Soldier AI so that they're similar to the Zorgs in Second Encounter (Changing the hitscan bullets to projectiles, increase runspeed etc.)


The problem is that i don't know much about Serious Editor and these are mainly ideas for modders like Solais, Viper45, etc. that have a lot experience with the Serious Editor.

I actually already tried it and did it since we have the Zorg player models in SS3, but the Cloned Soldiers skeleton on custom models looks all bugged up from a distance, so I decided against releasing it.
I also tried using Mischievous' NPCs as a base that didn't work out either. I may go back to it later.

If you manage to make them sometime, a Zorgs replacement for Cloned Soldiers mod would be pretty neat.

Tried it myself right now. They work totally great actually, but I see what you meant with the distance. Something is messed up with their arms

And their heads. Yeah they would work really great, but that distance. I just dunno what is with up with that. I just don't want to release something that buggy till I find a solution.

Sorry for the double post, but guys, today I had an epiphany:

No bugged animations from distance. Perfectly working. Thank you guys for making this thread and making me trying again the Zorgs. I'll make them into a new enemy tomorrow, which some of you could make into a mod for the soldiers. Of course, I'll use the original Classic SS1 sounds for them (Or, the classic sounds for the mercenaries and the HD sounds for the Commanders.)

I wonder if you'll be able to melee them if they replace original enemies...probably not, but still, cool stuff nevertheless.
