Default UT2003 now set for September 27th

The release date of Unreal Tournament 2003 has been pushed back to the end of September - the 27th. Maybe at this rate UT2003 will actually come out in 2003...

Yea, a month before the game. So..whenever the demo is done, the game should be shipped a month after(or close to it).

A simple "no" would suffice.

The one good game I was looking forward to this summer? DELAYED?
THis is one of the worst summers in terms of game releases in my opinion. OK, Warcraft III came out, but what if your not a Warcraft fan (like me) and aren't willing to dish out $60 for the game? Life's not fair

At least that gives me time to finish both Neverwinter Nights and Warcraft 3.

And finaly feel lucky they give us guesses, anyone thats waiting for DNF has no idea when its comming out not even 3Drealms

It was announced less than a year ago, and has never had an official release date. The "date" was originally Q2 2003, but was pushed back to Q3 2003. There has never been an official date. September 27th is merely a goal - when they THINK it will be done by. Better to ship a near perfect game late than to shit a piece of crap early and patch it like mad.

From my point of view, it seems as if these next-gen Unreal powered games are being delayed repeatedly since E3, probably because of their mauling by you-know-what.

They were hardly mauled by anything at E3. And there's hardly repeated delays for the Unreal engine games. In fact, ZERO Unreal Engine games have been delayed. The only one that could even have been arguably delayed would be UT2003, but as I explained above, it hasn't been delayed.

I thought UT 2003 was announced for August. Isn't that official enough to call this a delay?

Does anyone else agree? I haven't tried it yet, but I'm not very big on old school RPGs. I want to be SURE I will like it before I spend $60 on it.

Well you have to know the D&D rules so if you don't know them you might not like it.
