That's a nice pic Solais, but I have to agree with Nevermore on this.

If you combine his side support arches he added and my added steeples and church crosses with what you have right now, it will really resemble the classic version of the Grand Cathedral.

Why not release the original TSE Campaign levels for now after Episode 3 is finished so you can work on it? Moreover, just add those new enemies, features (if applicable), music and everything (new messages - applicable only if possible) first for now, and that Classic-like Grand Cathedral. I hope that 2020 is seemingly an expression because it can be like about 2015(?), 2016, 2018 or that exact year you'll do it. Good mod BTW.

Yes, adding all those new stuff will take that long. I've been working on this thing for more than 2 years now, and not even the first episode is complete. So I guess making all 7 episodes will take as long as 2020.

I just really really like both the looks of your levels and the way they play, including many of the ideas you used. Like that flying kleer, how the hell I never got that cool idea back then? Not to mention, that six winged harpy on that other level of yours, which is btw bugged because the wing textures don't show up on Lods, only when you are close to those enemies, but still, those bugged textures actually inspired a new enemy for SSHDX (not yet revealed) for me.

I dunno, I just think that you have very good ideas with great implementation, I wish I had thought of them myself.

Huh, I thought I already fixed that before even releasing it since I already noticed it myself, All I did was to copy paste the wings over to the LODs, could it be that I forgot anything? You can see in the screens that they even show them when far away....

anyway thanks for clearing that up for me, I was just curious because I think your work is better than mine, but indeed, I've gotten better than before, must be Inspiration

And an explanation for why Episode 1 is still not out:

There are multiple reasons for this. Originally, I planned that SSHDX Episode 1 will be out in September, and Episode 2 will follow in December, with Episode 3 hopefully following in February. However, many things in both my life and in the project have changed in a way I didn't anticipate.

One regarding my life is the fact that I'm doing my final semester of my Master's Course to be a teacher, and as such, I'm working as an intern teacher at a local High School. This proved to take much of my time, not because the training is that hard, but I also had to do many many other school related work besides all this, including creating my portfolio and writing a thesis. This taken significant amounts of time, but most importantly, energy and motivation from me.

The reasons regarding the project, is that I ran a closed testing during this time, and some testing revealed not only a few bugs (there are less and less of those), but pacing issues with the levels I have created. I always had this problem of creating too large and long levels, sometimes with such pacing that's all over the place. Due to this, I re-evaluated the level flow and decided to cut a few levels...



Now, I wouldn't be me if I'd just cut whole levels out, wouldn't I? What I did was to cut levels apart, put a few areas to another one, making a few more, but mostly smaller levels, with some extra content and areas, so the new levels are not -too- small. With this, the level count of Episode 1 jumped from 15 to 17. The new levels are mostly done, after all, most of their content was already completed. I'd need only a week or two free time to finish them up, then finally finishing up the intro and release the thing.

However, with my student life finally ending after 18 years of constant schooling, I cannot say what my life will be like after I get my degree. So I won't promise anything about the other Episodes, other than that they will certainly be made. The goal is to finish up the entirety of SSHD by 2020, so hey, plenty of time for this final Serious Sam project of mine.





Now, when it comes to Talos projects.... that's a whole another thing.
