SecuROM cripples your computer, blocks you from full control of managing your own computer and compromises the security of your PC.

SecuROM has bad news written all over it.

I also recently found out that I got SecuROM from Serious Sam 2 and I am quite pissed off about it. If Serious Sam 3 ships with SecuROM, I swear I will boycott it or otherwise buy it, then find not-so-legal means to get a cleaned up version of the game running, then boycott the rest of the publisher's products.

true.

And if there's one thing i can understand even less, are users who don't find anything wrong with securom.

Val: ss2 has securom?! Are you kidding me?

Oh, i see Gothic 2 notr uses securom. Which probably explains why i can't run that game at all, even when i have an original. Runs only when i have freshly installed wins, as soon as i start installing other apps, it will not run anymore.

I hadn't even noticed that SS2 uses it
Guess I'm just lucky

Hrmm....in that list, the games that are in bold are the limited account ones. Like Spore for example.
Those are the ones to really watch out for

Bioshock has them as well, or at least it used to.
