After checking out Karnak and "Luxor", comparing their design to Legend of the Beast and my recreation of the KarnakLake&Alley layout, I have found out, that it is most likely that the original Alpha level wasn't really much more than boring rooms and alleys after each other, just like the LotB levels. Due to this, I decided to make the level a lot more unique; instead of a good recreation, I'd make an actual good level. So I turned one of the alleys into the "Side Temple Area" and made a completely new area, the "Shrine of Sobek".

Btw, anyone knows a solution to those light bleeding thing on some of those interior images? When I go close to those bright places, shadow renders on them normally, but they look bad from far. I heard the solution might be lowering the shadow size of the Distant Light, but that doesn't work at all.

Yep, really great work at that! Cannot thank you enough for your brilliant work! Currently reworking a few stuff when it comes to Episode 2, so I'll contact you when it is time.

Just a heads up for everyone that the one missing important resource still haven't arrived yet from the person working on it, so that's why I haven't yet released Episode 1 for Beta Testing (don't worry, the person is reliable, just got a problem when dealing with PCs, them dying all the time). During all this time, I was working on Episode 2, and it might be possible, that when Beta Testing will began, you'll also be able to test 6 levels from Episode 2; with one level which is a very special one I haven't actually shown to anyone yet. I'll reveal that later, among the other changes I'll be making to Episode 2.

Also, Uni have started for me, which means I have less time working on stuff, so development might slow down a little.

Everyone will be a betatester when I release it for testing. Aside from that, I have enough internal testers. They haven't seen most of the new stuff either.

With the SS Revolution reveal, I can also reveal something else. Remember that I mentioned a "very special level" on the chatbox once? Here is it:

No, I won't do a whole remake of the alpha, only this one full level is converted, as this is the last remaining Karnak level missing from Extended.

No, I won't replace my remake of Lake And Alley with the original. I compared the two and my one is about 80% accurate to the original. It also got many new areas. Actually, the above additions were made to the level after I first seen the original. (When I mentioned how the original was most likely was about boring alleys, that's actually true.) Only a single room was converted from the original.

As for other alpha levels, I'll be using bits and pieces from them in Extended, for example in the Hatshepsut revisit level.

Hey Solais I'm having trouble triggering the 4th secret in the Temple of Ptah level. I know you have to destroy the isolated golden pots throughout the level to trigger the secret. How many pots do you have to destroy and if so, can you give (us) hints or locations of them?

I can't actually remember from the top of my head. But they should be always visible. I think the hardest to notice is the one on the giant sun symbol in the Planet Room.

I wanted to hear that from Solais long time ago.Also i still cant understand the fact that he doesnt use CAPITALS when he starts posting a message on related thread.For example Solaises thread.He needs to learn English grammar aswell as using correct tenses in form of sentence.Also nice work on porting the level to Serious Sam HD it looks great.I will point out few glitches in the beta release of the project if i find any as soon as possible.

It is far from finished, if you check a little more (like look down a little more on the thread list) you could see that only the first episode is finished and is currently under testing.

Today I've decided to show off a little how much stuff I try to put into my levels to be Croteam like. You could consider this self-indulgence, but hey, what you see is what you get, and I want everyone to get top quality.

So, originally when we texture walls, it looks like this:

Looks okay, but very flat, and you can feel that the texture is just -not right-. That's because, if you take a look at Croteam's walls, they are not flat, but modelled according to the texture:

So of course, I have to do this with every wall as well. Fortunately, I have examples before me, and those middle parts are actually separate models, so I don't have to be that precise... however!

What is that? This flat wall is from the original HD Sacred Yards. How flat, how not HD! So I decided to be a little more productive about it, and this is the result:
