http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/ .

The map came from the TF2 update.

Finzy

You need to practice a lot on your posing.

Example: What's with Gregori's arm on the 3rd picture?

Or how is he actually holding that sword?

Try checking out facepunch, there are good comics on it and you might able to pick a trick or two from them.

Looks like Finzy's also stretching models in the comic.

That's pretty much it for similarities between IS2 and Garry's mod. (Aside from random messing around )

Also, Garry's mod's posing is physics based (allows for quick posing), while IS2's is bone rotation based (allows for precise posing). As well, Garry's mod has MANY posing tools which can be used and spawned, while IS2 only has one type of entity that has to be in the map before-hand to be used.

The shot you shown was most likely made in SEd2.

GMod allows you to pose in game.

Also it allows you to build neat contraptions and traps and such >:F

IS2 and Gmod have nothing in common. All you do in IS2 (spawning more enemies, etc) is done via menu before launching the map, unlike in GMod where you do everything after the map has loaded.

I didn't see anything stretched in the comic, too....

Actually, you move bones in GMod...

Yup, I got some of the models from Garry's Mod.org (from a FFVII model pack), the rest are all from TF 2 / Half Life 2 / whatever.

GeForceNoob, I think my posing's fine for the most part, I didn't aim for uber realistic scenes anyway. And about Gregory's arm in the 3rd shot, he's stretching it backwards. I admit that it may look a bit odd, but in that scene it's not the posing's fault, I should've just picked a better angle instead so he could hit his "target" better, e.g maybe have him turn around.

What do you mean about "holding his sword", is there a problem with it? It could use some, I dunno, finger posing, but otherwise, it's all good to me. Again, not very realistic, so I didn't mind having him hold it with one hand in some parts or anything.

Same goes for TF 2 models. The faces etc. are all intentional, looks funnier that way.

As for Facepunch, I don't really like it to be honest, I preferred PHWOnline while it was still up.

Look at the shoulder area.

It looks like it's floating in his hand. Also, at some screenshots it is rotating for some reason.

It's not. I made sure to noclip most of the models, otherwise it would've been a major pain in the ass to pose anything (as you probably know).

But then again, it's hard to "fake" a believable hand grip in Gmod anyway, you'd need dynamic shadows or something on the weapon to prove it. As for rotating, I figure he'd rotate it in his hand...

Oh YAH?! Well I can't find it...

No clip for all models?...

Uhh, I just use no collide tool

It's not really hard to make a proper finger pose.

Here, I've done this in 5 mins or so. Most of it was adding a photoshop effect (something you could do, too.)

Alright alright.

No collide tool then, didn't remember the name.

I'll try to do finger posing my future comics (I don't bother with it usually since it saves time and doesn't have such a huge effect IMO).

Ah, well that makes DwK lazy comparing with the garrysmod guy. Come on, DwK!! We don't want HL2 to be better than SS2! Do something!!!!

There is no posing in HL2, only Garry's mod for HL2.
Anyways, The posable models were made only in the last few updates (which is quite a long time ago), and were meant to help comic-makers, like Finzy, make comics for SS2. Seeing as there haven't been any SS2 comics lately, it would seem like a waste to continue to code something that nobody seems to be using in the first place.
And besides, Dk's already working on the SSF mod.

Should I have been specific and said ragdoll physics posing? I meant that IS2 has you posing them by adjusting bone angles for individual bones/bone chains. Garry's mod has you using the Physics Gun to place and freeze parts of a ragdoll/object.

It was worth it to see Sephiroth get stabbed.
I'm sick of that guy.
