50 levels along with the original ones, aka the correct amount of NEW levels created for SSHD, without the Intro and Outro levels is around 25.

Per episode, we have:

Ancient Egypt: 2 New Levels, 2 Highly Edited levels from LotB
Sirian Egypt: 6 New Levels
Babilonia: 4 New Levels
Mesoamerica: 3 New Levels
Classical Japan: 6 New Levels
Medieval Europe: 3 New Levels

For progress info, see the link in my signature that will be slowly updated as the mod progresses.

Symmetrical? It is similar in layout to how it probably was historically. Things are not always symmetrical IRL you know.

(Though I did place Mensehotep's Temple a little more front-ish compared to Hatshepsut's, originally the structure was closer to the mountain but the mountain model on the map forced me to move the temple a little.)

Things weren't really symmetrical until the modern era if I recall correctly. And if this is a new level or a redoing, beautiful job. I honestly can't remember what I said last time.

This is an expanded first level, only that. The structures are basically there for decoration and maybe some new secrets.

And yeah, some ancient buildings are like the nightmares of those who have OCD. The actual Luxor Temple has a part that was like planned by some drunkard. (Well, they did have beer in Ancient Egypt, it was a sacred thing to them. In Ex. there'll be actually a puzzle where you have to brew some super strong beer strong enough to destroy a wall.)

I have a request Solais. Can you replace the original HD Revolver with Grahlom's Revolver mod for SS3? His looks a lot more authentic and I love how it reloads. Also, it has a better FOV because you see more of Sam's hand(s) with Grahlom's where you only see his thumb(s) in the original HD

No. Extended is about the levels and the story, not modding weapons. If Grahlom's wants to convert his Revolver to SSHD, then he should do it himself.

YouTube Video: Hatshepsut Showcase


My final showcase video about SSHD Extended, since after this, I only want to release trailers (with the help of someone who can actually record with a proper framerate.)

You can see how much Hatshepsut changed since then.

Since it's the first level, I considered adding some Tutorial Messages about pickups, about netricsa and about the desert heat (not shown).

The video also shows the new glow effect for items, and the new Key Lock system that will replace doors that use keys but are never shown using those keys, just magically opening once you had that. Since their opening animation is kinda long, this system is kinda in place to slow rushers down just a little.

Stay tuned for the Beta of the First Episode later this month!

I have a request Solais. When you're in the huge battle arena outside The Grand Cathedral and the weather changes to a thunderstorm while you fight, I have noticed a major difference with it between the Classic and HD versions.

In the HD version, you don't hear thunder except in and a little bit around the central area where you pick up the items where as in the classic version you hear it no matter what and it's loud. To me, confining the thunder SFX to only the central area in the HD version ruined some of the ambience it presented in the classic version.

When you get that far in the extended project, can you fix the level up a little? Maybe add rain to it as well?

I'll fix the thunder sound, however I won't add rain, because you already have a meteor rain.

However, since Medieval is the last episode, the thing will be most likely be released next year.

Yeah, but the meteors came down more violently in the classic version. And I really like the church model in the classic version better. The one in the HD version doesn't have any crosses on top.
