Default playing with weak video card

so minimum requirement for this game is like 500 VRAM and i have like 260.

i know i have no business playing it, but shit. not every day games like this appear

anyway its actually mostly playable except the part where screen gets dark sometimes and its annoying. like so:

i move mouse and it changes to the norm

so i guess this is unfixable, right?

[i know it is, but still hope for miracle solution (which is not buying better laptop)]

Yeah, you pretty much have to deal with this. Seen other people having similar issues with too weak cards. I think it might be something to do with shadows, but not sure.

I remember when a friend of mine tried playing Quake 4 on a Radeon 9250, and the game looked like a disco, flashing randomly colored lights everywhere

nice necro, btw I also played Crysis on a single-core sempron 1.8ghz, radeon 9550 and 512mb ram, of course 640x480 lowest settings and often below 30fps, but managed to finish the whole game that way.

I played a lot of games with an underpowered rig and barely playable fps. That's a part of growing up it seems.

Reminds me how that even affects the mind. Back then, I had dreams that lagged just like my games did.

Oh man, I remember when I played NFS Underground on a Pentium III pc (750mhz)... I suppose I got 15fps with luck. It was pure lag.

It wasn't even that long ago. When I played the new Shadow Warrior, the game lagged for me at point so much, that the katana as a weapon didn't work at all, so I had to use regular guns.

I used to play games on all low 800x600 for a while. I've never really cared for graphics since then.
